One of our favorite places to visit and to send friends who want to experience a different feel of the Grand Strand is the Murrells Inlet Marshwalk. Boasting the ‘Inlet Life’ persona, the Marshwalk sits just South of the Horry County and Georgetown County line. It is the heart of the Murrells Inlet fishing, boating, dining, shopping, entertainment, and nightlife scene.
The Marshwalk is a half-mile wooden boardwalk that sits along the Murrells Inlet estuary and hugs 8 restaurants, stretching from Bovine’s to the Wicked Tuna, then down Veteran’s Pier. Visitors love the ability to stroll and enjoy multiple restaurants, bars, watering holes and shops. There is always the opportunity for great bands, entertainment and local artisans set up along the Marshwalk. Enjoy the views of the Inlet, Goat Island, the boats coming and going from the neighboring boat landing and the lights and sounds that help the Marshwalk come alive.
The Marshwalk is a perfect early morning stroll or late-night venue and there is always the opportunity for great people watching, wildlife viewing and just simply enjoying the salt air and marsh breezes. On top of that, some of the area’s best dining can be enjoyed along the Marshwalk. Perfect for all ages, very accessible, and dog friendly, we hope you love the Marshwalk as much as we do!
